Solar and Lunar Eclipses

In a given year, between 4 and 7 eclipses occur, including those of the Sun and the Moon. Normally an eclipse of the Sun and one of the Moon are accompanied, that is, one takes place half a lunation after the other, so every year there are at least two solar and two lunar eclipses. During this century there will be 223 solar eclipses, 68 of them total, 72 annular, 7 hybrid (annular/total) and 76 penumbral (partial). Likewise, there will be 230 lunar eclipses, 85 of them total, 58 partial and 87 penumbral eclipses.
